Class 1: Intro to Photography

In this class you will learn the basics of photography in a real world hands-on environment. We will go over the basics of framing, exposure, white balance, etc.

Class 2: Exposure

Learning to properly control your exposure is vital to photography. In this class you will receive instructions and materials that will help you balance your cameras settings for the best exposure. We will explore what it takes to preserve the most detail and find the limitations of your camera.

Class 3: Depth of Field

Depth of field something that you can use to really set apart your work from everyone else’s. Getting that beautiful shallow depth of field is a highly sought after look that we will teach you all about.

Class 4: Lighting

Lighting is what will set you apart from all the other people snapping pictures. If you know how to manipulate light and use it to your advantage it will really bring your photography to the next level. In this class we will go over three point lighting, flash vs constant lighting, and much more.

Class 5: Bring it all Together

Bringing it all together. Use what you've learned in each of the classes to create great images. You will also get feedback from the instructor and your peers.

Pricing

All classes are free. However, it still cost money to put these on and donations are greatly appreciated. They last between 2 to 4 hours. Students are encouraged to take photos between classes to sharpen the skills they have just learned. To help students grow and improve these photos will be critiqued by the instructor and peers during the next class.

What You Will Need!

DSLR Camera

Camera Tripod 

Note pad_pen/pencil

 

Camera requirements:

You will need a camera that gives you full manual control over f-stop, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance. A DSLR (Digital single-lens reflex camera) is not required but is preferable. It doesn't have to be expensive as long as you have manual control over the above-mentioned.
